Amazon.com Product Description

Infinity's 6-1/2-inch 6032cf is a two-way loudspeaker with Plus One woofer cone and edge-driven textile dome tweeter, and offers an ideal--and simple--upgrade to your factory drivers. Infinity's Unipivot tweeter can be pointed toward listeners even when the speaker is mounted off-axis, for a an optimized stereo image.

The Infinity Reference Series

Infinity's Reference Series has been engineered to deliver best-in-class performance for those looking to replace or upgrade their factory speakers. Features like Infinity's Plus One (patent pending) woofer cones and edge-driven-dome tweeters have helped position Infinity Reference as the number-one line of automotive loudspeakers for the past six years straight.

An ideal upgrade to your factory drivers.

Infinity 6032cf Features

Plus One woofer cones
This patent pending technology deliver a cone with more surface area than competing models of the same size. The result is increased bass output and higher efficiency.

True Four Ohms
All Reference speakers feature two ohm voice coils. Original factory-installed speaker wiring in many cars is 18-22 gauge. This wire, and heating in the voice coil when power is applied, increase the impedance "seen" by the amplifier or head unit. The impedance of Reference Speakers has been adjusted to compensate for this increase and can be safely driven by any head unit.

Edge-driven textile dome tweeters
These are not commonly used w-domes, but fully-edge-driven domes like those found in better home audio speakers. The benefit is increased power handling and reduced distortion at high output levels. This technology also allows for better integration with the mid/woofer.

Unipivot
Infinity's Unipivot (patent no. 6,002,780) allows the tweeter to be pointed at the listener's location even when the speaker is mounted off axis. This optimizes the stereo image and ensures a more uniform response.

Tweeter level adjustment
The 6032cf also features a tweeter level adjustment located on the front of the speaker and can be set at the reference level of 0dB. If the speakers are located low in the doors or if you are looking for a brighter sound, set the tweeter at +3dB

Rubber surrounds
This material provides optimum cone-edge suspension and absorbs distortions that may travel up the cone edge, adding stronger low-end.

5.0 out of 5 stars These are great, but there is no reason you should ever buy them..., November 7, 2011
This review is from: Infinity Reference 6032cf 6.5-Inch 180-Watt High-Performance Two-Way Speakers (Pair) (Electronics)
These speakers will out-perform any other brand, generally, of the same size for under $100. I cannot recommend anyone to ever buy these, though. I'll tell you why. Infinity sells a set of Infinity Kappa 6.5 on this very site for only $20 more. The improvements are very substantial. The Kappas have Infinity's special glass-fiber woofer cone. I did a side-by-side comparison to eliminate the change for the placebo-effect to taint my judgment, and the Kappa's mid-range just seemed a little sweeter and had more fidelity. The bass that the Kappa's produces also seemed more musically accurate. Some speakers produce bass in a more punchy way. Some people prefer this type. The Kappa's have a richer tonality and a smoother, more accurate bass reproduction. The Kappa's also have a different tweeter. The tweeter is vastly superior to the Reference tweeter sound-wise, but isn't just because of the tweeter itself. The Kappa has a computer-controlled cross-over that blurs the line between coaxial... 5.0 out of 5 stars Great speakers for replacing OEM speakers in a 2001 Odyssey LX, June 4, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?)
This review is from: Infinity Reference 6032cf 6.5-Inch 180-Watt High-Performance Two-Way Speakers (Pair) (Electronics)
I just installed Infinity 6032cf speakers in the front doors of our Honda Odyssey 2001 LX. They fit, however, I had to clip the protruding plastic tabs off the included plastic mounting adapter, and clip two plastic tabs and a plastic ridge off the door that served to align the OEM speakers to make the mounting adapter fit. Then I had to trim some of the plastic inside the door to make room for the larger magnet of the Infinity speaker. The Honda speaker plug can easily be disassembled such that no additional crimp connectors are needed (the original ones that are inside the Honda plug can be used). The grills covering the speakers still fit after the Infinity 6032cf speakers were installed.

As to the sound, I am very satisfied with these speakers. To put my opinion in perspective, I am not the kind of person who needs an amp and subs to bother other motorists with their music. I was just looking for an upgrade to the terrible OEM speakers in the LX version of the 2001... Read more

5.0 out of 5 stars This factory replacement is the ti-taaays!, April 20, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase( What's this?)
This review is from: Infinity Reference 6032cf 6.5-Inch 180-Watt High-Performance Two-Way Speakers (Pair) (Electronics)
Installed in a 1997 Jeep Grand Cherokee with Infinity. Installation is straight forward for an average car junky. The sound is full for a 6.5 and is a superb replacement for the factory speakers. On my ZJ, as with all my vehicles, I lightly sand the copper wires to remove any oxidation and gummy residue before soldering the contacts. I wasn't impressed with the mini negative post. It's clearly labeled so differentiating the terminals by size is unnecessary. There's some cats outside my window having angry sex. It sounds hilarous. The foam dampeners included do a sufficient job of reducing vibrations, however, a little dynamat goes a long way. It may be necessary to drill through your sheet metal to properly install these speakers. Something to bear in mind before a DIY. Has anyone ever driven through Lancaster County PA? It smells like poo there. Sorry, got high while writing this.

AudioSource Amp 5.1A 100-Watt Monoblock Power Amplifier

Product Description

A 100 watt monoblock power amplifier that gives you pure high end sound at a great price

Amazon.com Product Description

The Amp 5.1 stereo power amplifier from AudioSource is a powerful and flexible addition to your home theater. You can use this monoblock amplifier by itself, or combine it with a series of Amp 5.1 units to power an entire home theater and drive speakers throughout your home.

The clean design houses a high-power amplifier that is easy to set up and easy to expand as your home theater grows. AudioSource amplifiers deliver accurate, rich sound, combining high sound-pressure levels and a clear reproduction of even the most subtle details of sound. The Amp 5.1 provides up to 100 watts per channel with total harmonic distortion of less than 0.1%.

Depending on your needs, you can place and replace several monoblock amps in one system. It’s easy to connect power sources, audio and video inputs, and speaker outputs with the expansion-friendly design. Balanced inputs allow the Amp 5.1 to connect to audio and video components with XLR outputs, and unbalanced inputs handle RCA output connections.

The front panel of the amplifier has a simple array of LED displays that signal both operating status and potential warnings. A protect warning helps you avoid overloading or overheating the unit, and it will reset the unit to the initial settings once the problem is addressed.

A phase control button allows you to switch the polarity of the speaker outputs to compensate for occasions where speakers are out of phase and sounding hollow. A low-cut control feature filters the lowest frequencies from your small speakers, preventing distortion and protecting the speakers. In the heart of the amp, the torodial power transformer generates a big sound while reducing distortion by shielding the sound from stray magnetic fields. You can control the volume directly on the unit or by adjusting the signal source component (such as your receiver, preamp, etc.).

5.0 out of 5 stars good value, March 10, 2004

This review is from: AudioSource Amp 5.1A 100-Watt Monoblock Power Amplifier (Electronics)
AudioSource is well known for providing good value for the price and they don't dissapoint with their 5-series amps. There's nothing in its price-range that has similar quality.

The output isn't quite as rich a Bruce Moore 70, but at 1/20th the price, it's a great deal.

I use pairs of these in my conference rooms. They provide pleny of power, are small, support both balanced and unbalanced inputs, and the auto-power feature means I don't even have to touch them; when the audio source is turned off so do all the amps.

I recommend adding the EQ25.1 to tune the sound to your room.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect Amp for my center channel, October 3, 2006

This review is from: AudioSource Amp 5.1A 100-Watt Monoblock Power Amplifier (Electronics)
This Amp did not disappoint! Our main Dolby 5.1 audio system has one big drawback: the speakers are all mounted in the downstairs ceiling and my daughter's room is right above them so I can' run them after 7:00pm when she goes to sleep. Problem is, without a true center channel running, my wife and often have trouble picking up dialog from the weak built-in speakers of our 61" JVC HDTV.

The solution was a Midiland ADS 2000 DTS Decoder outputting just the center channel signal to a single AudioSource 5.1A Monoblock and a Polk Audio RM6902 speaker to supplement those weak built in speakers of the 61" JVC. Now we get to have our cake (i.e. hear the dialog clearly from the center channel) and eat it too (still hear the left and right channels where the music and other background sounds are). All without needing to fire up the main 5.1 dolby digital amp.

Best of all, I don't have to get up to turn the AudioSource Amp on: it just turns itself on when I turn on the... Read more
